    This is the second in a series of films of my art songs made with Positive Note Films in the UK and Daniel Norman. It was released March 22, 2024, with tenor and filmmaker Daniel Norman and pianist Simon Lepper.

    This cycle was commissioned for Katharina Konradi by the BBC and The Royal Philharmonic Society.

  • The Ocean of Eternity

    The Ocean of Eternity cycle sets the poetry of Anne Ranasinghe. This is a recording of the premiere at Scorca Hall in New York City on February 9, 2019. The work was commissioned by saxophonist Michael Couper, soprano Yungee Rhie, and pianist ChoEun Lee, who are the performers in this video.

  • The Seed of Dream

    A short documentary by The Independent Opera Company, about my song cycle which was commissioned by Music of Remembrance and which sets the poetry of Abraham Sutzkever. Performance by baritone Aaron Ball, cellist Thomas Lovasz, and pianist Galina Barskaya.

    This setting of Susan de Sola’s haunting poem was commissioned by premiered by Music of Remembrance to commemorate its 25th concert season — with soprano Alisa Jordheim, clarinetist Laura DeLuca, violinist Mikhail Shmidt, double bassist Jonathan Greene and pianist Mina Miller. Leo van Dorp, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands in Seattle speaks at the start to give context, and the music begins around the 4 minute mark.
